These huge unions organized by the Bolsheviks were marching and coming to arrest the Mensheviks that insisted on continuing the war. The bourgeois militias were surrounded.

People on the street were enraged that pogroms had been used to divide them. Nationalism, for a moment, had completely lost its power.
