I'm not even sure where they come from. Either the Gulf of Mexico across a desert, lakehopping across the Great Plains, or flying over the Rockies. They don't seem to be migrating anywhere like the geese do, just overwintering 5k' above sea level where it reaches -20f.
Is there a landfill near you? I live in a landlocked state and sometimes the gulls come in and eat the garbage.
There are a few in the general area which have large populations of them.
