seared flour tortilla

rice

hemp hearts

homemade salsa (just a blend of random local peppers, an onion, garlic, a roasted tomatillo, lime juice)

chili style multi-bean mixture (this one was a treat because we had a lot of fancy shmancy locally grown beans in the pantry, not just the usual bulk): red beans, black beans, pinto beans, tepary beans, vaquero beans, miso, random peppers, garlic, onions, carrots

cucumber for extra crunch

imitation mozzarella (not miyokos or daiya, but if anybody really wants to know I can check the fridge later)

Tonight I'm making one with chili-bbq fried jackfruit.

It’s not a true hexburrito unless you fold it like a crunchwrap

I need to make a larger tortilla, but now I really want to try making this. I haven't had a crunchwrap since 2008.

It's only a real burrito if it's from the burrito region of Mexico. This is just a sparkling wrap.

Why aren't there hexicucs? Hexagonal cucumbers.

Hexagonal Cucumbers sounds like a math rock band who are strict vegans and they kicked out their original bassist because they caught him at McDonald's.

    cucumber for extra crunch

I identified that as slightly peeled raw zucchini pieces at first and was quietly horrified. This looks good.

I've never eaten hemp seeds. How do they taste ?

    chili-bbq fried jackfruit

I have several cans of jackfruit specifically because I want to try cooking with it more soon (some of the stuff I've seen made with it looks insanely delicious). I assume here you plan roughly something like this ?

lol Thank you! It really hit the spot.

kinda like flatter oats, but slightly more bitter

once they're mixed in, its pretty hard to detect, especially when they get stronger salsa flavors in the same bite

That's essentially it. Before mixing it with the sauces/seasonings, I try to squeeze/press as much liquid out of the jackfruit as I can because I like it to crisp up when I fry it. If you wanted a sloppy joe texture, maybe don't fry it to the point that it crisps or don't squeeze out all the jackfruit juice

Also thanks to you I now know what a "sloppy joe" is. Looks like fucked-up bolognaise in a bun which instinctively, you know, eww.

I'm gonna go with your crisping-it-up approach, so thanks again !

yeah, sorry for cursing you with that knowledge
