Reddit is having it out about how China is mandating patriotic films be shown for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC at least twice a week this year.
When told that the US cinemas screen US propaganda 8-10 hours a day (have you watched Marvel, Transformers, Top Gun, Zero Dark Thirty, American Sniper, etc.) apparently that doesn't count because it's not government mandated... lol. Yeah, I guess it just happens because the DOD hands out tons of equipment and gets final script approval and the US government is already run by big business including hollywood. None of that counts as a state mandate.
