I'm sure that one poster represents every one of the 5 million people there and instead of inviting people who can be converted here, letting them fester and be reinforced as 'enlightened centrist non-political capitalists' is a great option.

  • Just make a separate finance comm, people want a place to post memes about this shit, why mix those?

All of these people criticizing when this is the most fun the site has been in months, it's like chapos need to hate someone in order to persist.

Making the wsb comm is good to contain the posts and CLEARLY shows people want to post about it, given how active it is. Don't give in to some fucking wreckers complaining that it should be nuked and turned into a serious finance board when it would be easier and better to just make a separate serious finance comm.

  • it’s not different to any random person winning the lottery.

Except for the part where this requires a massive movement of likely tens of thousands of people working in solidarity to defeat a capitalist foe?

Like, what? Of course this doesn't take down all of Wall Street, what a ridiculous expectation and bar for "success". Other hedge funds are still smart and if not sunken into shorting the stock will now be calling it, but a lot of that money is also going to individuals.

It literally is more praxis than most of what the left has achieved in years, like, what have we gotten done? Elected AOC and the gang, but have we gotten actual policy reform? This is certainly more than ChapoTrapHouse as a brand, a subreddit, a site, a podcast have ever been able to achieve.

  • Idk, the more days go on it feels like her point is proven more and more.

Same shit from the Dems, wasted leverage and "political will" gone that could have been used to draw a line and bring attention again to M4A during a time people are dying in need of it.

  • Hedge funds usually win off of normal people losing. There are definitely hedge funds leveraging this to go up now, but this was started by people and those people are making money off of the losses and way over-leveraging into shorts of shitty scum racket hedge funds.

Any dollar a normal person makes on WSB being ripped from the account of a suit is a good thing.
