I thought I did. Maybe not, or maybe something I intended as an apology didn't come across that way. Shit happens. I apologize for the miscommunication and the whole thing in general, and I'm glad this chat felt better.
Yeah, I don't know, it just didn't really feel like this was the right situation. I didn't really feel like anyone was looking for an apology. Which is entirely fair. With the situation reversed, I wouldn't particularly desire an apology from a religious person who behaved that way toward atheists.
That could just be projection though. I'm happy to apologize specifically if anyone corrects me. For now, if I made any comrades with good intentions feel shitty or unwelcome, I'm sorry. Hostile atmospheres suck, and I don't want to contribute to them.

Sorry, I genuinely didn't understand that's what you meant. To me, "sanity" and emotional well being are two entirely separate things. Yes, I was definitely asking about your emotional well being. In that I suspected you were getting frustrated/angry/whatever you want to call it to an extent that you weren't actually understanding what the others in the conversation were trying to get across to you. As I've said before, I do this kind of thing. Most people do, I think. Sometimes it helps to have someone frankly be like "dude, just chill out, take a breath, and re-read the conversation" which is exactly the advice I gave you.
I did not question your sanity. I don't question anyone's sanity. I was genuine when I said I don't believe in the concept of sanity. I fundamentally do not think sanity is a concept which is compatible with my views. That's why I said that. If you think I was questioning your sanity, there has surely been a misunderstanding, because I have never done that to anyone and would not. As for you, specifically, in particular, I am telling you that I did not do that.

I do not understand enough about the views of religious comrades. I have lived my entire life in Alabama, where I have been verbally abused, bullied, and physically beaten for not being religious. I do not like religion. I do not understand religion. I rarely engage with any discussion of religion, because it upsets me. I've probably been unfair in the past to religious comrades. I don't really know what is and isn't fair because, as I said, I fundamentally do not understand religion or religious comrades.
