  • I think it's rather good if you like GW2:

    • If you like exploring and don't have the Skyscale: it has a cheaper and faster way of getting it compared to from War Eternal (Dragonfall).
    • If you like the GW2 story: it's a standalone story that continues after the Dragon Saga and doesn't require you to have finished it beforehand, and the first map is almost entirely made of thought experiments of unexplored lore and previous story bits.
    • If you like buildcrafting: you get access to Weaponmaster training, which allows you to unify the weapon pool on each class (so any Mesmer can use Shield or mainhand Dagger, regardless of specializations).
    • If you like grinding or legendaries and don't raid: there's an upcoming legendary armor set that can technically be earned by farming rifts.

I don't know what specifically you found mid about EoD, but I'd say if you're not too excited about what I showed up there, then you can wait for a sale.

Korean MMOs with chance-based progression are some of the most predatory bullshit I've ever seen. I'm so glad I grew out of that stuff years ago.

This isn't specifically BDO, but someone made a post on R*ddit a few months back for this other extremely predatory game, where his buddy fails over 100 50% chance rolls in a row. Clearly, that's a bug (if we're being generous), but it was never communicated to the playerbase. The same company got into a huge lawsuit a few months ago too where they admitted that there was another separate chance-based system that misled the entire playerbase. I wouldn't be surprised if BDO rates were somehow "accidentally" lower than expected.

  • There was news that the old CFO got let go. At the risk of sounding like a lib (but what else is this comm for?), the CFO probably had a big hand in Gamestop's stagnation and decline, so firing him is probably good news if you care about GME's longterm outlook. That being said, this spike is pure speculation designed to hype up this news up to catch a bunch of unfortunate marks again.

Every once in a while, there are murmurings of California secession if Trump wins, if ACB is rammed into the SCOTUS (which she was), and so on. It's hard to imagine that, even if this happened, anything will actually change: CA would still be a liberal hellhole, just a smaller one that doesn't involve 49 other states.
