"The USAF dropped more bombs on Laos, primarily the Plain of Jars, than it dropped during the whole of World War II. This included 262 million anti-personnel cluster bombs. An estimated 80 million of these did not explode and remain a deadly threat to the population.[7][8][9]

The large quantity of unexploded bombs in the area, especially cluster munitions, limits free movement. Evidence of the bombing raids can be seen in the form of broken or displaced jars and bomb craters. Sightseeing on the Plain of Jars can only be done safely on cleared and marked pathways. "

  • maybe we should have an official site line that is supported not by vague debates that get derailed quickly but by whatever data we can find. this could take a form of weekly threads in c/struggleSession where people air their frustration or doubts and actually try to convince rather than dunk. that could open many bad faith actors to keep us busy infighting but discussion within parties is always important. it allows for self-criticism. feds will always be in parties and websites will always have bad faith actors just work with it
