Seriously, if you’re in the US don’t feel bad. Every person who gets vaccinated gets us closer to herd immunity. As chapo laid out in one of the recent eps, all this line-jumping anxiety is just a result of control freaks in local and state government reflexively inserting themselves into the distribution process because, in their eyes, the worst thing is for someone to get something they don’t “deserve.” Fuck them, they’re letting vaccines sit and go bad. You’re one more person that can go out in public and not be a potential vector for the virus.
There’s nothing wrong with being behind when things are moving that fast. But when you’re extremely online as they are it seems weird that they’d totally miss the video (multiple angles all over twitter, I don’t even have an account and I saw it) and on top of that they went on air and talked about it when the obviously hadn’t bothered to check the facts.
Their process was: Watch cable news and lib meltdowns -> just say the exact opposite of them without looking into it further and we’ll probably be right
I agree with everything and particularly your second paragraph. People often accuse leftists of being “contrarian,” and it’s often bullshit, but this episode particularly struck me as really just being contrarian relative to lib twitter takes.
ACAB and I literally said I’m not happy about it but if you expect anything else to happen when someone tries to storm an area with the Vice President, VP elect, and most of congress then you’re an idiot. Listen to the episode if you haven’t already - they spend several minutes lamenting this woman when this was clearly the only outcome of that situation. They’re just being contrarian and obviously didn’t bother to look into the situation before spouting off about it. Every online person who could stomach the video knew exactly what happened that same night, but somehow all of the chapos plus their supposedly informed guest couldn’t figure it out before going on air
It is interesting to think about what could’ve happened if trump were more competent. What if he had found a way to maintain his popular support but also gained a solid hold over one of the federal police forces?
Oh yes the online libs very much do. They take his campaign website as an ironclad trustworthy representation of what he actually wants and will try to accomplish.
As these stories about Biden have been trickling out I’ve slowly been finding myself hoping more and more that the Ds can take the senate in the Georgia runoff. Could it potentially be a radicalizing moment for liberals if they see their party controlling the whole legislature and the White House but declining to do anything significant? Or will they mask it effectively like they did during Obama?

Also are we pretending now that most if not all of the Chapos wouldn’t have become reluctant PMCs if they hadn’t stumbled into this podcast?
