Loved that game the one time I played it, I was a lib back then so I wonder how it would hold up now. IIRC the communists all secretly read the collected works of revolutionary John Lennon.

lmao if American Airlines cancelled my ticket and made me buy a new one I would tell them to eat my ass and get on a greyhound bus. I'm guessing a teen traveling alone didn't have that option, though.
I've never really liked it. I find the animation style hard to look at for the length of an episode - I feel the same way about the Simpsons though that one is a lot worse.
Lenin picks up a lot of the blame for violence that occurred during the Revolution. While Stalin was the one who made the oppression of the bourgeoisie state policy, Lenin was in charge when the revolution enabled peasants to enact a lot of vigilante violence against their oppressors.
Templar lmao
I choose to believe that this implies that in the AssCreed universe Stalin was a good guy and that destalinization and eventually the breakup of the USSR was all orchestrated by the Templars.
Well you see, the seeseepee have the Great Firewall, and will restrict your freeze peach. The only thing America will do is get your private communications from complicit corporations and use them as a pretense to throw you and your loved ones in prison.
idk if it's still around but I used to be active on AcidMarxism and they had an adjacent vibe to this place if not the same one. I stopped posting there because they went private and I had deleted my account.
Seriously though you should buy a cheap motorcycle and learn to ride it. I did it in my thirties and now my biggest regret is not doing it through all of my twenties.
My army is a Sisters of Battle convent that intercepted some scrambled transmissions from Ancient Earth and now worship Lenin, Stalin etc as patron saints. Their holy book is the Communist Manifesto, but they only have fragments of it and don't really understand what they're supposed to be doing - but they're extremely zealous about it, declaring all capitalists and landlords "witches" and recruiting hundreds of People's Inquisitors to stake their hearts and burn their bodies to prevent them from rising again as vampires.
I think China's POV on this is that speech intended purely to piss people off shouldn't be broadcast at all, and that even well-intended speech that is critical of a group should be limited to certain contexts in order to prevent needless conflict.
I just had to send a picture of myself to HR for some kind of security badge, and I just realized that this means I'm about to literally become a Lanyard Guy.
I'm sorry. I've failed you all.
Wait, they're getting rid of Reddit Gold, the microtransaction that the site completely relies on to stay solvent, but also saying they will increase spending by paying power posters? How does the math on that work out?
The only way it makes sense is if they're replacing that with more advertisement revenue that they're not talking about. Paid posts have always been a thing on Reddit, and now they're going to become an official thing, and the posters who can most effectively be used to deliver ads will be paid a share in order to remain power posters and keep driving engagement on the site.
the part's $12, the labor's gonna be $120.
the deleterious effects of GPS navigation on the hippocampus/spatial memory
welp, time to buy an atlas and go back to the old way.
hey don't mind me just posting a very interesting link to a 101 minute sound file here
Cinema isn't dying, it's dead and rotting in the ground, and it will never come back as long as "content" exists.
defends Hitler because he had a couple social programs
Buddy, let me tell you about Stalin.
Disney says obviously fake Snow White photos are, in fact, fake
Though it also sounds like they actually do plan to remake this one, and it will probably be just as bad as the rest of the remakes but print money from parents taking their kids to see it anyway.
