  • You should max out if you want to - I think it's fun! It's not really a waste of a workout session, I don't think. It is very challenging of course, perhaps not as fatiguing but still a training stimulus all things considered.

Your 1RM can be calculated somewhat accurately by your 5RM - it could be somewhere around 90% of your 1RM. I think there is little point attempting to calculate it using such information like how many sets you were able to do at 5 reps for this weight, as your rest time between sets and your personal anaerobic conditioning can affect that without making much of a difference in terms of total force generating ability.

I find as I get older that I spend so much time groping for a reason to explain why I am feeling the way I feel when 95% of the time I am just tired, hungry, sick, or some combination of the 3. You're going to be okay, and you can probably feel better by managing your time more, going to therapy, going vegan vegan-tofu , etc, but the biggest thing is that you need to figure out a way to work less. Have at least one full day off a week and see how that makes you feel. It may be hard but shit, you only have one life to live, and you can't spend it grinding yourself into dust. Good luck meow-hug

I can't imagine having a job that would require me to kiss the dead CEOs ass on LinkedIn, but it seems like many many people are lining up to do just that. Now THAT would be soul crushing

  • Soon they'll offer the hardware for free with a subscription and that will guarantee their dominance. Late capitalism in the imperial core will be really wacky with all the financialization, monopolization and the desperate urge to continue the generation of profit despite the conditions for that fading away (higher labor costs and less labor involved in production). Artificial scarcity is already the order of the day for most consumer goods, planned obsolescence too. The "everything-is-a-subscription-and-consumers-own-nothing" is all these ideas taken to the extreme. With guaranteed revenue, you don't have to worry about trying to get the average consumer to buy more of your stuff with advertising, making their stuff break after a planned amount of time, or only offering them stuff in low quantities to keep the price high, etc - you have them for as long as they have a computer, or a TV, or a car, a house, clothes, food, etc.
