Mussolini's fascism lacked the race component of Nazism. Thus it doesn't benefit anyone to fluff him up an enemy to be remembered. It's like, name a single wartime Japanese other than Yamamoto...most people can't.

Fun fact: in his time, Mussolini was considered a genius, the smartest man in any room he was in. Basically like Obama. I've said it before: in an earlier age, all these war-obsessed white males would have joined the army and been killed off, thus chlorinating our gene pool and sparing us of their presence. In our peaceful society today, they have nowhere to go and start screeching because they don't get to kill any more. The military is no home for them, it's highly technical and there are whole universities for it. You can join for a few years, but under the "up or out" program, either you climb their ladder or you get kicked out pretty fast. So now we're stuck with them.

It's a friend replacement. It is possible to generate the same feels that you get from hanging out with friends, just from watching videos. Has little to do with the content.

Newsflash: the History Channel stopped doing history over a decade ago. It's all on Youtube now. And WWII gets enough coverage, there's tons and tons of supremely qualified amateurs doing good work. So much more than wars. Here's a sample channel. There are tons more just like it.

I've read about Soapy Smith before and the part that really gets me is how he seemed to believe his own lies. It makes me so angry all those people died. The fire inspectors were all over that warehouse and they knew what was going on and it was unsafe. But nooo...if the government shut the place down that's faaaaaascism. There would have been a riot in Oakland, because that's how they roll there. And so dozens of people died in a fire.

And who got the blame? The government fire inspectors, for not shutting it down and allowing an obviously unsafe building to continue hosting crowds of people. So, so angry.
