The immediate material consequence for many women (and some males too) is immediate unemployment and placement into a more precarious economic position

there's no way to make progress eliminating a reactionary and sexually coercive industry.

It will simply result in them doing more unregulated and unsafe sex work

i'm not convinced that strippers will move to unregulated sex work. that seems like a massive "gateway theory" style leap in the intensity of the work being done. most will probably just get a different type of job.

not really. it's vulgar workerism to think all workers are members of the proletariat (which is defined as a revolutionary class)

stalin knew how to deal with people who refused to stand in solidarity with other workers. :stalin-stoic:

    do you?

  • No one there was, but pushing the liberal talking point that any avowed communist who you dislike is a "fascist" (which is just literally wrong, fascism actually has a meaning) is just strengthening the Mao/Stalin/etc. are fascist shitlib narrative.

Anyway, I'm done arguing with :liberalism:s, so fuck you, stop acting like a lib on reddit and airing out Hexbear's dirty laundry. I won't be responding to this comment chain further.

  • You are a lib, and Pol Pot was an outspoken communist.

I wasn’t introducing hexbear as a pol pot fan club

You were. Gaslighting isn't a cool thing to do Lydia. Anyone seeing that image will see that the other poster has a positive upvote count on both comments. The fact that downvotes are disabled here isn't apparent. You didn't clarify this.

But cool, next time I see someone on reddit say Mao or some other communist was the most brutal fascist of all time, I'll make sure to thank you for encouraging the shitlib US education that teaches that nonsense.

  • He was not a fascist. Fascism is a specific set of ideologies that arose as anti-left class collaborationist ideology.

Libs stop conflating communists with fascists challenge 1950 2021

And I don't really care if they're defending Mao. Le all gommunists fashy is libshit 101

Even if none of this were the case, you're doing fucking horrible optics for Hexbear by introducing it to a group you consider to be leftists on reddit as some sort of Pol Pot fanclub, and you should feel fucking ashamed.

  • Or put another way: If anyone is stupid enough to think Settlers should be read and interpreted uncritically, it would mean the majority of this site's yt users should log off and stop organizing, as they don't constitute a revolutionary proletariat. Even j. sakai walked back the views a bit later (although I still think they are a fed, writing a giant book about how workers are racially incapable of organizing together and non-whites should spurn the comradery of white comrades is just too an FBI narrative IMO)

  • No one is talking about allyship.

Obviously such a person would not be an trans ally if they were transphobic, by definition.

People can still organize around class struggles despite being poor allies in other respects. The Young Patriots loves the Confederate flag, but Fred Hampton banded together in solidarity with them against capitalist oppressors all the same, despite the poor allyship the YP showed with their use of pro-slavery signage.
