    seems pretty good to me. sex work is exceptionally exploitative, and keeping that out of the reach of people who are making important decisions about their life trajectory is a good idea.

        The immediate material consequence for many women (and some males too) is immediate unemployment and placement into a more precarious economic position

        there's no way to make progress eliminating a reactionary and sexually coercive industry.

        It will simply result in them doing more unregulated and unsafe sex work

        i'm not convinced that strippers will move to unregulated sex work. that seems like a massive "gateway theory" style leap in the intensity of the work being done. most will probably just get a different type of job.
