On Inauguration Day, January 20th, people from across the country will come together in Washington, D.C., to demand a future that centers the needs of the people over the interests of the wealthy elite. With voices raised for workers’ rights, immigrant rights, and environmental justice, we will call for an end to the genocide in Gaza, the U.S. war machine, and the rule of billionaires.

Some solid groups/people involved. This isn't some lib pussy hat crap
Right? I was about to make a snarky ass comment about putting off brunch for a day until I saw the list of people and orgs at the bottom of the poster.
Jill Stein is enough of a seasoned protester that's she's been roughed up by cops and screamed in the faces of the Bush admin.
Jill Stein has been out in the trenches doing more praxis than I could dream of for as long as I can remember.
Quick to haves for anyone considering going:
Non descript clothing AND a change of clothes. Go into a public bathroom when you leave and change before going home.
Reflective sunglasses, and face mask.
Leave your phone at home/hotel or atleast turn it off entirely. No airplane mode.
If traveling in for it by car park far away and walk in. Your plates will be scanned if you drive in. if taking a bus train or plane, honestly dont, but if u insist atleast do it for more than just the protest. Act like a normal tourist stay awhile go see museums etc. No ubering or rideshare to the protest.
Any purchases made at protest area need to be in cash. No cards. Dont even bring your wallet just some cash when you go. If you drop it there and your ID is in it theyll find it.
If your going with a group and are worried about being able to find eachother without phones bring walk talkies or something, and have meetup points outside the protest area to go to. On walkie talkie just say "Let's go to meetup spot A im hurt/tired/etc." No names, no Identifiable info over the open air. Buy the walkie talkies some where else with cash then throw them away after the protest in a random dumpster.
Wear gloves. A beanie too and keep all your hair under it if you can.
Most of these things are pretty cheap to add in to your plan even if inconvenient and can be the difference between you ending up on a list or not.
Also Rule #1 if it starts to get crazy, police tear gassing, rioting, etc and you arent prepared personally for that sort of thing LEAVE. Turn around, and walk away casually but quickly. If you come across police while trying to leave say "im leaving" and keep walking. If arrested say nothing. Get a lawyer. Typically if someone is leaving the police will focus on ones staying since their goal is to disperse but this isnt a rule or anything.
Genuinely shocked that people are saying this is a lib protest. Maybe try reading who’s involved before making an “”””original”””” snarky comment.

Is it not a lib protest? The people protesting might not (all) be libs but I'm not sure how to distinguish the event itself
I was going to say this, at first, felt like a lib Jan 6th but looking at the names all I can say is: based and godspeed.
If nothing else, I'll give applause for kicking off the trump years part 2 with an actual proper protest instead of the shitlib bullshit the last time the libs had enough dry spaghetti to form a spine strong enough to hold their backs up for an afternoon before flopping back to the ground
Yeah this one might have some teeth and resist cooption. They’ll be mask off
That's pretty damn cool, some great folks involved in this. My knee-jerk reaction was to laugh it off as lib shit, but this is pretty solid
Yeah it helps when it's a bunch of people who have been protesting this whole time, rather than only showing up after the election lol
On a serious note, the last time Trump came to power, many protesters on January 20 2017 were arrested and faced felony charges (for kicking a trash can over). If you protest, there is a non zero chance you catch federal charges.
I just wanted to mention but people forum is doing a live stream kind of related to this, but kind of wrapping up at moment of typing this, but titled "Why The Democrats Failed, How Trump Won, What Is To Be Done?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQQOJjj5O9c
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Good thing it hasn’t been normalized for the President elect to order 25000 troops to occupy dc on Inauguration Day. Oh wait
