That kind of means that Qualcomm will open source some of their stuff, so the kernel can communicated with the CPU?
This person looks like a GTA character
I though so too, but got fed up from installing fucking video codecs for YouTube, nebula and other platforms manually. And all the configuration.. then I tried Ubuntu and it just worked (untill now, got some weird things, but better than fedora so far)
Haha thanks! I actually have an docker project planned next! I want to make my own little home server with a raspberry and rum nextcloud and some other services in docker containers. I'm a little afraid but also very excited 😁
Thank you so much for all your time and thought! I'm lot super new to Linux, but it's my main OS for a few months only. I will look into your steps that you listed. Thanks again!
When I use "su" and login as root, I can not navigate using ls or cd.. it says permission denied again.. I'm a little confused to be honest
Still permission denied :&
Yes to both. Ubuntu should be up to date
Thanks dor the link. I ran the command with sudo and the fill path to the file, permission still denied. User group and user is me, still only rw permission for the user.. It confuses me, that I don't have executive permission on my own folder. Should I try to disconnect and reconnect to Google drive?
And chmod 777 returns "operation not supported"
I just opened the Google drive folder in the terminal and listed the files. They all have the similar 33 letter name. When I "ls -ld" on the files, it shows -rw-------
The exported one. The original was normal text
I'm still at university and we had one course on it sec, but those were my only option to ehance my skills in this field. I fiddled around with ctfs a little and tried to learn some stuff with metasploit. But i feel like the learning curve is very steep, also because it's such a broad field. I'm currently studying electrical engineering and information technology. I have some skills in programming, embedded, some webdev stuff and some SQL.
What would you say is an easie field to get started in? Some friends of mine are at the same point right now, their skills arenmore limited though. Thanks in advance :)
Interesting take. I think different though, because it does not mean we are not free, I think it helps in moments we are lost. I often find my self overwhelmed by what I need to do so organising myself or keeping myself organised can be very important to me. I don't use apps to this extend yet, but plan on doing so after building my Nas. I think it's also very interesting to keep track of my health and mood in order to learn patterns I should avoid in order to stay mentally stable
I think that is pretty much the point. The software expects me to do something a certain way, that just does not click with me and the workflow is not used by other software. So the steps to get there are not as intuitive
I have read through that before, though I think the problem is more fundamelntal than what we as a community can do. For most tasks listed, it is necessary to know freecad pretty well, but if I can not even learn it easily, how am I supposed to work on the code, help with bugs or documentation?
I just don't have the time to have a new project and learning freecad or even diving in on development feels like that.
It's not like I could invest 2h into learning a slightly different workflow, which I have already.
At First i was Like "yeah somehow they have a point. Even though Peace treaties could work" but then suddenly it turned into "well actually north Korea is pretty great and it is not actually a dictatorship, and it's great they have nuclear weapons". You lost me there, sorry
I agree with most of it. But Linux can just be a pain, and is not always obvious. Specially if you have no real knowledge of Linux and just wat to use it like Macos or windows. I would say it just is not a drop in replacement. Just starting out and choosing a distro can be overwhelming
