I wasn't 'in the know' when I saw (like three of) those movies. I was an impressionable child whose father liked them unironically. They all helped me me to establish different opinions from him.

Dude spent his whole life reading nothing but theory written by other Nobles and his best guess fell apart almost instantly because he didn't understand that the Skaa struggle was a class struggle as much as it was a race one. Then in Era 2, they all fetishize his Great Man status and implement the flawed system and re-create all the issues he had,

I get that it sucks that he gives so much money to the mormon church, and that's totally a fair thing to be upset about, but saying that he "donates money to hate groups" is kinda baitey.
As far as leading fantasy authors go, unfortunately this is about as good as it gets in terms of fair representation and avoiding liberal/monarchist :brainworms:

Brandon Sanderson is cool. Most :reddit-logo: things are bad but he's literally just some dude who writes cool big-ass books. He just attracts a bunch of MCU people because shared universes are popular rn. The books also skew further left as he gets older
·2 years agoLuna wasn't trying to make a new textbook. She is adapting a Vietnamese textbook for English speakers, who might not have knowledge on certain topics which Vietnamese students would be assumed to have built in previous schooling.

I went in college with my ex. It was okay. mid to bad food, and the waitress greeted us with "I'll be your hooters girl today" which was super weird/uncomfortable. I genuinely cannot imagine the :brainworms: needed to go to a place like that and have fun
