  • Apply chemical fertilizer, till and disc the winter before.

Start the seeds indoors two or three weeks before the last frost date, move them to bigger containers as required.

Plant in the prepared plot and spread mulch.

Use mesh/stakes as needed to support growth.

Keep the plot weed and pest free.

  • Op said they don’t wanna switch to Linux and there’s a bunch of good reasons they might have. I keep a mac for several reasons and one is being able to “be normal” when it’s important.

If you gotta get away from windows and can’t build your life around what Linux does and doesn’t allow then going the apple route is a viable choice.

  • There’s people who already commented how to avoid the update by changing to ltsc or just not doing it. But how will you get security updates?

There’s a company called 0patch that makes em. They don’t even need a restart to apply like the ms ones do. It’s ~$25 a year.

The alternative is to switch to a mac, which isn’t a bad choice tbh once you can tank the buy-in.

  • The meme is Lenovo t480. They’re real good.

People rebut and say the 490 and t14 are just as good or that the t450, 430 etc are worth considering too.

Dell and hp have good options too, but I don’t know them so I don’t recommend them. If you don’t know what you’re buying they have too many pitfalls for me to point people towards.

The dark horse and therefore correct answer is an m1 macbook air. Asahi is coming along nicely and it’s a baller computer for everyday stuff. Make sure you get the one with the amount of ram you need because it’s soc so the ram’s in the processor and you can’t upgrade it later.

  • Everyone already told you not to buy an ak for a million good reasons, let me add another:

The cmmg ar 22lr bolt conversion.

You pop the upper off, pull the bolt out, put in the conversion and you can feed cheap 22lr out of its specialty magazines.

It’s not as accurate and can wear your barrel (people say, I haven’t experienced anything) and the gun doesn’t handle exactly the same, but for some kind of handling training and practice it really makes things cheaper and can help people get over the loudness and controls hump.
