I noticed something with my immigrant friends, the ones who try to integrate into "American" culture tend to latch on to white pop culture. Like a lot of them talk to me about friends, Seinfeld, and all those white shows from the 90s. I assume these were the shows and stuff that exported internationally just as part of white culture being dominant so it's not really a fault to them, but I've had to explain a little too many times how I've never seen those shows and have no idea what they're referencing. I don't expect them to know Black culture nor be able to pick it up properly either but it's just been an interesting thing I've noticed, white supremacy goes far.

  • Although we all aren't the same denomination of communism or socialist or whatever, that's not a dialectical way of understanding what's happening. Comes off a bit defeatist too. I think if you voted trump you wasted you vote, same thought for Kamala. And pos too? Sure, but there are people we can pick from both groups and bring them left, definitely none of racist nor white supremacist, we can gladly leave some behind for re-education camps or the wall or whatever. But there are well meaning people that voted kamala(🤢) and well meaning that voted trump(🤢🤢) and just like we showed kamala supports the dangers of bidens era, we'll show the same to the trump supporters that'll listen

I want to join the Black community group at work but one of the future events is about black folks in the military and it turned me off. Maybe I should join anyway to bring the revolutionary energy that's needed.

  • Some yes, his rampant die hards yes. But I struggle thinking it's the majority. He picked up the anti establishment folks(I think after rkf jr and tulsi) and fridge people who know somethings bad, know democrats won't help, but don't know what the solution is, plus the rogan crew that previously would have gone to Bernie. When those folk see it's not good then they'll turn.

Just think back on AOCs post about why people voted for trump, it was mostly politically incoherent but not an overwhelming "trump is our savior and everything he says is good" rhetoric. Same for people who voted him in 2016, they didn't like Hilary enough and trump said things unprompted. His group of zombies isn't as strong or large as perceived.

  • I don't think 'none' is accurate, unless we're just speaking over semantics. They did try to hange pence.

Say what you will about maga but some of them pay attention to what politicians are doing, hence the drain the swamp rhetoric became popular. I think once changes go through and material conditions do not improve, most likely worsen, they'll be looking for names and heads. I don't think all of them, the rest will cheer on whatever since they're just fanfolk, but some of their idols are turning on trump already and all he did was pick the terrible cabinet.

I'm also not in community with open maga folk but if I come across any, I'll be diligent in letting them know trump is rebuilding the swamp they originally hated.
