  • 2025 is the year of the backlog! I'll definitely work on it this year. I tried last year and I started strong, but then got bogged down and burned out just playing like five or six 100+ hour JRPGs lol. Need to pace myself better.

Anyway, first game of the year done! I beat River City Girls 2 this week. RCG2 is a better game gameplay wise and all the QoL added was great, but the story was worse compared to RCG1. Not that stories in beat em ups are ever good lol, but I liked the ending twist in RCG1. Although 2 is better with gameplay and adding a second assist character and better combos, I feel that the bosses in 1 were a lot better too.

I've picked out like 10 games/game series that I want to complete this year, mostly from the 2010s, like Tomb Raider reboot, God of War, both Crash/Spyro remaster trilogies, Dragon Quest 11, and Hollow Knight.

Lifeline: unique PS2 game that you use a microphone and voice commands as your controls. You give voice commands and control a waitress aboard a rich space hotel that's taken over by aliens during Christmas time and have to survive. Also Mansplaining: The Game.

    Blue Stinger: kino

Raw Danger and I think some of the Disaster Report games takes place during Christmas. Absolute cinema choose your adventure. A natural disaster befalls you and you must survive. Some of the choices you can make are absolutely psychopathic and funny lmao.

Parasite Eve is either a Christmas game or a New Years Eve game

PS2 and Dreamcast had amazing B-tier movie-like games that are Christmas games.
