Any reason why? I always use one -y flag. I think I heard somewhere that you should avoid -yy, but I can't seem to find it.
It's pronounced jizz-lane!
Emacs users tend to enjoy elfeed. TUI/CLI users tend to enjoy newsboat. Browser users tend to enjoy Tiny Tiny RSS or Miniflux.
I avoid streaming sites because they usually have not so great quality. There is something nice about having everything downloaded and under your control, that you don't get by streaming. Many people choose piracy not because it is (mostly) free, but because you get to control the media you own.

Do you have a list of the feed links? I can't seem to find them on the page…
Link or you're a lib
Good point, I do not personally use seedboxes, but I have heard good things about them. Might check it out because my VPN ran out a little while ago.
Generally the selection is fine on both. It just depends on personal preference really. Private trackers historically have solid catalogs, but of course, you have to be "in the club." Some rare stuff on usenet can last longer because you don't have to worry about running out of peers over time.
What are all these .mht files? I have never heard of it before.
Edit: It looks like it is only some Zizek stuff.
When I get around to part 3, I will talk about setting up deemix, formerly deezloader. That is what I use to download music (they have lossless too).
My Piracy 101, part 1 is up. This is really basic stuff, but I will start writing a part 2 that goes more in depth with usenet and automation (Sonarr, Radarr etc). I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks!
I think I'll start a thread about piracy here on /c/technology; like tips and links to get started. I have almost filled my 4tb drive with stuff mostly from bittorrent and some from usenet. We owe the motion picture industry nothing.
One (hyphenated) word: org-mode
I just logged back in today for the first time in forever. Signed up day 1 (or day 2 depending on your timezone). I didn’t even know the domain changed. I wrote something about piracy here but I never finished it all; I might go ahead and publish an updated version this week if people are interested.
