but as it is already, peripheral countries have almost zero ability to set monetary policies. Basically only the US, the EU, Japan and China can do that. The rest of the world is effectively managed by the central banks of the bigs, and even then it is really the US Fed that is in control. He's just ceding what little control the argentine central bank had.

I just keep repeating ‘this was the 5th hospital struck so far’, and pretty much stop there. The source was (perhaps inadvertently) the NYT showing a graphic map of Gaza with approx locations of Israeli attacks, and a list of targets struck by type. Four hospitals on that list, before this one. I need verifiable physical evidence evaluated by credible independent parties for any claim of responsibility to be taken seriously.

  • frequently. Although most of the well known conspiracy trials pre-dated rico. For example: the Chicago 7. Throughout the turmoil of the 60's and early 70s people were getting charged with almost invariably bogus conspiracy offenses, (and also getting assassinated as in Fred Hampton.) More recently more than 100 people were charged with conspiracy offenses over the Standing Rock protests.

Just anecdotally, I worked for a short period of time in China, and was simply stunned by the level of public investment that was occurring. There is so much we could do if we had the political power to do anything. Also, my colleagues were pretty open about their collective sigh of relief that the nightmare their parents went through was long over, their anxiety that it could return, and their enthusiasm for the current path. Of course this was a rather nonrandom sample of tech workers, so there is that. My opinion is that I have no idea if China will end up being AES, but at least it represents an intention to do so, and an alternative to the dominant system.
