FTL soundtrack is great
A friend of mine plays video games on speakers and has the Hotline Miami soundtrack playing in the background of all games, so whenever he mics in, I hear that playing in the background

You gave him a home and a family and love
Pumping and storing milk is a middle class privilege.
My sister bought a $500 milker and separate storage fridge so she could plan out her pump schedule and meals for her newborn. She also had the kind of email job that has a private pumping room with plush chairs, dim lighting, and nobody asking questions as to where you were for the last hour.
The average mother of 3 working at Taco Bell needs to resort to using formula
Cuz they were on the winning side of WW2. Security council veto power is held by China, US, UK, France, and Russia
Maybe he means that people eventually settle into a monogamous relationship which is very likely to be either gay or straight?

Yeah no you're exactly right. It's essentially a Catch 22 for getting real "middle class jobs" (the ones with PTO and health benefits).
I had a master's degree and many years teaching experience, but when I quit teaching, I had to take entry level administrative support office jobs to get my foot in the door. Upon hire, my new boss said they had 100 qualified applicants but I'm the one who made the cut. They weren't sure I would be able to do things like "run copies" and "take minutes".
I don't have any real advice except to treat the application materials as seriously as you would a college essay.
Check the public sector, either at state, county, or city level. School district, Dept of transit, etc. They tend to have good benefits and decent work-life balance

I don't really like pie
I'd be fucking livid. You know your way around a knife, they should really take that into consideration
Paige Defense League checking in. I'm guessing because she brought conflict into the show with the betrayal she felt, instead of just going along and embracing her parents' lies
Fr, January is a shit month, you bet you're ass I'll be drinking. What the fuck else is there to do? It's freezing!
:losers: is what came to mind for me, too
Merrick Garland has entered the chat
Goddamn we're cynical
Freedom of Speech depicts a scene of a 1942 Arlington town meeting in which Jim Edgerton, the lone dissenter to the town selectmen's announced plans to build a new school, as the old one had burned down,[9] was accorded the floor as a matter of protocol.[10] Edgerton supported the rebuilding process but was concerned about the tax burden of the proposal, as his family farm had been ravaged by disease
Something to keep in mind was this was still essentially the depression, so a farmer saying "I can't afford the taxes to build a new school" might actually be true
It probably wasn't racism cuz let's be real, Vermont on 1940 was 99.9% white. I'm not making that up, I just checked the census records
During FDR's presidency in the lead up to WWII, he made the "Four Freedoms" speech, which the artist Norman Rockwell illustrated in four different paintings. This one, "freedom of speech" is the most well known/reproduced.

Congrats on your booze sobriety! I'm about to take a month off from drinking. I did it last year and really liked the change of pace, so I'll be doing it again from after Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Speaking of abstention, I'm on my first thc break after four years of daily usage (a day off here and there). The first few days were unpleasant (headaches, irritable, loss of appetite, bad sleep), but that is subsiding. I'm enjoying the clarity. I can speak more succinctly and clearly. I'm less impulsive and have more patience. I guess the biggest surprise is I don't miss it at much as I thought I would now that I'm a week off. I missed it a lot the first few days.
Otherwise, I've been struggling to get back into a workout routine (MWF) but haven't given up entirely.
Cooking because it's a pain in the ass to prepare food in small batches (for 1-3 people). Plus clean up It's basically as much work to make food for 2 people as it is for 8.
My lib mom (who is somewhat well read) loves this fucking hack and this book in particular
Edit: a while back, someone posted a PDF takedown of this same book. I remember the first vignette they picked apart we the apocryphal story of the "starving young man digging his own grave". Anyone know what I'm talking about?
