Tecmo apparently used the Dead or Alive engine for this game and didn't think this would be detrimental to the atmosphere of the horror game they were making. Other design and story choices are kinda dubious too. It's just annoying because this series didn't use to be like this
that looks to me like she's getting snapped 180 degrees because of animations or the camera fuckup, but it's been a while since i've seen "extra bounce" on doa 5.
I'm guessing her character model gets repositioned slightly for the cutscene, which to the boob physics system reads like she just moved at Mach 2 with inertia to match. This also happens any time you interact with anything.
yeah lmao. i think the soul calibur 2 character select was like that as well, except namco was woke enough to give astaroth's alternate costume pec physics too
They literally had the option to reduce the boob physics in the first game (it was termed the "Age" slider in the options), it's sorta baffling they didn't tune it down.
Most female characters have a noticeably pronounced bust in this game, and they all jiggle. Especially the ghosts.
The only ones without jiggle physics are the elderly, the children*, and the one woman who's meant to present as androgynous.
*This being a Japanese game there are still plenty of teenage girls in school uniforms who do bounce. There's also a literal child bride :libertarian-approaching:
There is also a wetness mechanic so you can see women's bras through their shirts. It has barely any effect on the male playable character :agony-minion:
I would care less if this was some random Pervy Booba Ghost Game but Fatal Frame was never this animey and skeevy

when the camera moves so quick every boob in a 10 metre radius resonates
The consequences of making a game where you programmed your camera to be stationary and the entire scene to move around it.
Still not as bad as the consequences of making everything in your game so small that the rounding limits of double data types make shit appear to observe only the rules of quantum physics and randomly explode when their probabilistic wavefunctions collide with other objects.
That Star citizen video reminds me of this

:what-the-hell:
The jubble increased the higher you put the slider and it capped out at 99, if I remember correctly. I think it was meant to be a gag
