      Victoria 2 has 10, but Stellaris has 21. So expect a lot.

            and it is barely a game if you don't own like at least most major dlcs, which is why they have now a subscription model built in to the game

          Paradox games work off a weird quasi-MMO model where they release a base game and then continue to actively support it for a decade by pumping out expansions and content packs. The upside is that a game you bought in 2015 still feels fresh and exciting, the downside is that you if you start playing in 2023 instead of 2015 you have to drop like $200 to have a proper game.

            Well in either case you're dropping $200 for a game right, it's just spread out for the ones who bought it in 2015

              like the guy who is playing it since 2015 probably spent more on it over all, kinda like fighting games are generally at their worse value on release as they generally make definite editions later on with the dlc bundled

        That's kind of misleading. V2 had 10 but only two "big ones" that you needed else the game was a complete wreck.

        (That said, the ACW tracks go so hard so I consider them essential :john-brown:)
