I mean, its just kind of lazy compared to her other videos. She doesn't really address stuff like third-party voting, things proposed outside of voting apart from revolution (which many certainly do clamour for in spite of the lack of organization), the root of where the online conversation around it comes from (the liberal mythologizing of voting for dems as our only political and social power), or many historical conversations surrounding lesser evilism outside just this election (like the essays by hunter s thompson or web dubois). Her Tabby character really only gives one argument throughout the video; it seems as if her portrayal of incels and transphobes are deeper than leftists? Nothing against her and I still stan but this vid is just kind of low effort because it doesn't add anything new to the conversation and really only barely even interacts with the discourse surrounding voting.

Also I feel like she hasn't really put out any really deeply meditated vids in a year or so tbh.

Really? I always through Patreon was good because it reduces internet creator reliance on advertisements, which means you need the approval of capital and THE ALGORITHM.

Advertisements in newspapers is what killed the working class press in Britain(and probably elsewhere), right wing papers could subsidise their cost with advertisements to a much greater extent.

Yeah, I'm kinda lukewarm on Patreon, I like the concept but it's still in the hands of capitalists who are taking a cut, Dan Olson on twitter has made many a thread on why Patreon sucks but it's better than nothing

Obviously he’s still a capitalist and isn’t free from the demands of capitalism but the patreon CEO seems like an alright guy, he himself was a musician who wanted a more stable income stream than the uncertainty of relying on YouTube hits.

people have been pointing this out for a really long time. I think it's easier to see why she's crap on a video like this where you know something about the subject. but this is the level of treatment she brings to everything, including trans/gender issues that have been at the root of most of her controversies.
