I couldn't care less if you call a white person a cracker. It rolls off a white person like any other insult because unlike actual racism it has none of the weight and history of systemic oppression and cultural destruction behind it.

No white person has ever felt harmed by the word cracker. Which is precisely why it is not racist. The only "harm" they see in the word is using it to tut tut at POC, which is itself racist.

      cringe origin story

i'm not gonna lie i used to get mad when i got called a cracker as a little kid because i'm mixed race but really light skinned. i felt like i was having my admittedly small (1/4) black heritage denied and lumped in with the WASPy oppressors even though the euro side of my family was immigrants from potato land anyway. now idgaf but woo wee that shit used to get me shaking when i was like 10 at the bus stop

I've definitely met white people that have felt harmed by the word cracker, but frankly I really don't care. Crackers stay mad michael-laugh

Those are the ones joining white supremacy groups they don't count as people.

Oh no, I've been called the slang shortening of "whip cracker" ie a plantation foreman. Really stings to be not referred to as less than but of being not at the bottom of a hierarchy. Next thing you know, it will be a bannable offense to call someone "management" or "manager".
