PS3 emulation's pretty great now actually, at least for the games I've played. Demon's Souls, Skate 3, and Drakengard 3 are fully functional the entire way through. And I've heard you can even do some shit to make MGS4 kinda work now.
Hard to emulate a fucked up version of a PC on a PC, and there's not a way to run them in virtualization. We're likely gonna have to wait til hardware gets way stronger.
Emulation isn't really the way to go with PS4 ideally a simpler translation layer would work mapping syscalls and sony libraries to os calls and vulkan api. Arguably not a huge feat since the console and its APIs should be well documented I imagine. Its just getting ahold of that doc.
