Anyone group doing serious journalism any more will consider is a negative if you've had experience with the Economist. It was always a mouthpiece of the most depraved international bourgeois, but the quality of even basic analysis has actually declined over the last decade or two imo.
The shocking thing is that this is something you see across Western media, and especially British media. The decline in the BBC's reporting has been particularly extreme due to Tory purging of the institution. If you watch BBC reporting during the Cold War, even the 80s, the reporting, bad as it may have been, was still far more balanced and objective that the current BBC reporting.

pretty much
we call them "the media class" here for a reason
I'm actually somewhat surprised how mask-off UK media is. Even moreso than the US "mainstream media", which is commonly seen as left wing.
Meanwhile, this is the most moderate journalist on British media.
imagine if almost every news outlet was owned by fox
that's how it is here lmao
anerican media is only thought of as "left wing" by people who don't know what words mean
"The Economist, a journal that speaks for the British millionaires, is pursuing a very instructive line in relation to the war." - Lenin.
