I'm sure I can find the answers to these questions in google individually, but other people in the fediverse might benefit from having these questions answered as well.
Why is Trump a "Wet Boy"?
Why is a defecating pig a "PBB"?
Why do you, a chapotraphouse discussion forum, only discuss something called "citations needed" instead of the chapo podcast?
How is El Chapo's trap house in any way related to leftism?
Why are your emojis so big?
What's the limit for your big tent left? Maoists? Trotskyites? Demsocs? Socdems? TERF socialists? Progressive Democrats? Monarchist socialists?
To widen the topic of the post, feel free to post any other questions regarding Hexbear as well.
I'll engage seriously.
I think it was a joke from the Chapo Trap House podcast during the heyday of Trump (and also when they could be said to be good). There's a lot of stuff like that. I think the hosts called themselves the Dry Boys. I guess it was because he always looked so sweaty or something. We also like to call people "large adult sons", the quintessential example being and the Huckabee sons. It's like a failson except a little more... vapid, I suppose? Like, they're kinda helpless and dependent on their parents or some kind of parental figure (even their friends might count) but not really malicious. And also, of course, large.
Pig Poop Balls has been a part of the site for a long while, and I at least like to think of it as the "Your argument is so ridiculous that I'm not giving you the courtesy of even pretending that it's worth engaging with. Fuck off." button. It's often humorous to try and get libs to click it while thinking they were going to find something else, like saying "Yeah, here's a detailed article on why you might be mistaken, hope this helps!" and linking to it, or "please see our Posting Policy Bulletin". It's shock humor without being offensive.
Citations Needed is simply a much better podcast than Chapo Trap House. It's a better critique of issues from the left and is genuinely informative. The hidden joke is that we were initially named after chapotraphouse of course, but many of us didn't actually watch the podcast - it simply became the biggest leftist presence on reddit where people who didn't watch it congregated also. And because CTH isn't really all that explicitly communist, that left community ended up radicalizing past the podcast and listening to some of the hosts' points became irritating. So we were named after the podcast but didn't really want to associate with it (the hosts also hated us back) so we half-seriously, half-jokingly picked a new podcast to associate with, the joke being that we were named after one podcast but actually fans of a different one.
drugs
We don't see them like that, the devs borked it up and we'll probably fix it soon
I think anybody who a) genuinely believes that capitalism is a bad system (not "it's the worst system except for all the rest" nonsense, like actually believe it's an objectively and also comparatively bad system), b) isn't a fascist who wants to bring down capitalism to recreate Capitalism But Even More Racist or monarchy or some other weird shit, and c) is genuinely socially progressive and believes that all of the LGBTQIA+ community, all races, etc are equally good and should all have rights, ought to qualify. They must also not be sectarian themselves. Maoists are fine, Trotskyites are... usually fine but tend to be fairly sectarian so they usually fall afoul of that. Demsocs are fine. Socdems are generally not fine because they don't believe that capitalism is a bad system a lot of the time but there are some socdems who are actually trying to meaningfully improve things (e.g. Lula, AMLO), so while we might dunk on them for X or Y issue, we generally support their efforts. All TERFs are eradicated with extreme prejudice - loving your trans comrades is a prerequisite. Progressive democrats are like socdems in that some who are public figures are alright (not really The Squad anymore, the Ukraine War scratched them to reveal liberals, but I think there's some union leaders who are prog Dems who seem ok?), but most who are mere posters are not. Basically everybody here dunks on the Democrats and Republicans, but whether the Democratic Party is worth some form of support to stop the Republicans in elections or not remains a bit of a debate, but I think by and large the reaction is "I don't give a shit whether you vote or not, don't bother us about it, if you're gonna go vote for Biden or whoever the candidate is then go do it and then talk about literally anything else, if you're not gonna vote then also talk about literally anything else, voting is a tiny insignificant act and not worth valuable computer electricity debating." Monarchist socialists are... what the hell is a monarchist socialist?
