    That last paragraph made it clear that his campaign leaked the story intentionally. Sad.

        Yeah. My understanding is that at least part if it is due to being aware that you're losing faculties and are finding things that used to be easy difficult or impossible, and the frustration and horror of that breaks people's calm pretty horribly. And then on top of that damage to the brain often leads to aggressive behavior with no other obvious cause. It's really awful. : (

          It's also a common thing, especially among men, to react to disorientation with anger and seek to externalize blame, so if dementia causes them to be disoriented more easily, they'll be aggressive more often. It'll usually be even worse if someone corrects them because of that confusion and it hurts their pride.
