Hexbear has been getting a lot more attention and activity as of late, and while it is very fun to dunk on the new people posting on the site in bad faith, a post to appreciate the new good faith users contributing to the site seems like a great idea.

So, what new users do you appreciate, and what should other potential new users do to get the same reception?

I am but a new lil' guy. I've bounced around on beehaw (jumped that libship posthaste), lemmy.ml and lemm.ee for a couple of months now to see what feels right and wanted to check out the hexbear. Good so far, lemmy.ml was a bit too techy for my liking and soooo inundated with users. Lemmy.ml and lemm.ee were also too lib for me. I just gotta subscribe to some other non political communities to even my experience out and I think I'd like to call this instance home 🥺

Really want to thank a lot of the users who have put so much time, energy and thoughtfulness into answering some pretty basic questions about communism. It's been rad to lurk and learn and just observe how chill and friendly the vibe has been. Also stoked for emojis fidel-cool

PS I also typo like a madman so I apologize in advance

Yeah, for the most part it's been super refreshing instead of things devolving to slapfights like on reddit. Which I've seen more of with the second wave of redditors to lemmy but even then it's such a more productive space, I feel
