I'm not against better city layouts, but would you put it past CHUDs and cops to try stuff like that if we all woke up tomorrow and every city was turned into a "15 minute city"? This has historically happened to minorities and young people for the entire history of this country.

That's not to say we shouldn't try though

Pigs and chuds already heavily police public space, inner cities are loaded with surveillance technology and minorities are actively driven from those spaces. I doubt it could get worse if you could walk everywhere

That's a great point. At least I could get fresh fruit without driving 10 miles

How could they? A 15 minute city isn't literally creating like 1 square kilometer mini cities within a city, it's just urban planning. There's no conceivable way for this to ever have cops try and enforce city zones.

i don't think better urban planning has any particular correlation with the expansion of the police state. in fact, i think much of cops' activities today in cities is meant to contain undesirables to "rough" areas without access to basic goods and services.
