How many of these trad idiots are actually capable of providing for 3 or more people on one salary? Like yeah there's probably some overlap between these types and techbros but there's way more trad idiots out there than wealthy tech bros.

How many of these trad idiots are actually capable of providing for 3 or more people on one salary?

On the one end, you've got the terminally online Reddit dorks doing TradCath cosplay. And for them, its next to none. Doubtful any of them have actually tried to do the math on what supporting five people costs, but if they have I guarantee they fudged the numbers by scratching out "Cost of Education" and penciling in "Home Schooling" or knocking their food budget down by scribbling "Vegetable Garden" or "Deer Hunting" in the margins.

On the other end, you've got the Silicon Valley folks that got Quiver-pilled. For them, its significantly easier to cover the basic standard of living. But they're coming to it so late in life that its impractical from a biological perspective. Like, the other 40 year old you've finally hooked up with isn't going to give you three healthy children. And while the Sugar Baby websites are abundant, the odds of you actually settling down and having a normal happy marriage with someone half your age who is explicitly only interested in you for survival is... bad. Real bad. Just ask Pappa Elon.

So either way, the fantasy is fucked. You pretend at doing survivalism out of your family's cabin in Idaho and surfing FarmersOnly.com for TradWives for a few years before even that becomes too expensive. Or you throw yourself into 10 years of grad school and hustle culture and Learn2Code boot camps until you break six figures and can afford a 1600 sqft ranch home built in the 1980s. Then get on Tinder and try to get anyone to notice you for five more. Finally meet someone you can settle down with, just in time for your social security to kick in.
