Doubtful any of them have actually tried to do the math on what supporting five people costs, but if they have I guarantee they fudged the numbers by scratching out "Cost of Education" and penciling in "Home Schooling" or knocking their food budget down by scribbling "Vegetable Garden" or "Deer Hunting" in the margins.
On the other end, you've got the Silicon Valley folks that got Quiver-pilled. For them, its significantly easier to cover the basic standard of living.
