    He's going to die comfortably at home, surrounded by his loved ones

    Y'know, I was thinking about this today.

    This guy's got kids and grandkids and probably great grandkids. Did they know? His kids had to know, right? Did they just ignore that their father was a member of one of the most evil organizations to exist? Did all his grandkids just discover that oops, grandpa was a fucking Waffen-SS trooper from the news media?

    There's no answer that isn't grim as fuck, and I can only hope he has no loved ones, that everyone who knew he was a Nazi immediately excised him from their lives.

      a relevant canadian example is our deputy prime minister chrystia freeland who is that granddaughter of that nazi and spent a bunch of her adult life furthering his work in diminishing nazi atrocities and inventing soviet ones. then she became deputy prime minister and gave a standing ovation to someone just like her grandfather in parliament
