Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

The attack on that rave certainly really does feel like it's super fucking symbolic. Think about it, bougie settlers holding a treat rave party next to an open air concentration camp. The inmates break free and do some righteous violence. The media knows it, Israel knows it, it's so slimy the way it's being used along with the beheaded babies to drum up the war. Israel is such a wormy, guilty, evil country, that it has to know deep down this blowback was decades rightfully in the making.
Even if the freedom fighters did just kill all of them, it's a perfectly understandable reaction. What's driving me nuts is the only videos I've seen from it show a) fuckin tanks and armored vehicles, and b) a crowd of festival goers laying on the ground and hiding, with security or IOF guys directly in the middle of the group standing up and shooting with fucking handguns. Way to go, you now have made yourselves a necessary target for the guys with AKs and RPKs. They're gonna mag dump at you, surrounded by partiers.

Westerners know, subconsciously or consciously, the evil they inflict and fear turnabout because they know they deserve it. They fear more than anything the global south doing what the settlers did back to them. The thing is, Africa is never going to colonize Europe in the current context. The middle east is never going to colonize America. Their fears are irrational and drive them to commit further atrocities to prevent the turnabout
