Imagine a terrifying world where we are all ruled by monsters of every stripe. And not hot ones like werewolves, but instead decaying zombies and mummies who are both insensitive to, and actively benefit from the immense suffering they cause on a daily basis. The top echelon of society, filled with profit-seeking, bloodsucking vampires. And the worst of it is that they repeat on a daily basis that what they are doing is not only just, but there is no other possible way to do it.

Pretty spooky, right? What if I told you that this world... was our own?

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

    Blinken to meet Netanyahu in Israel later this week: Report

    Axios journalist Barak Ravid said the US secretary of state will arrive in Israel on Friday to meet the Israeli prime minister and other Israeli officials.

    The State Department did not immediately respond to Al Jazeera’s request for comment.

      Blinken is to Biden what Cheney was to Bush Jr. It's been clear for a while now. The nordstream pipeline bombing was Blinken's idea, he even wrote a book about it beforehand. Blinken's calling all the shots. Which sucks, because he seems to have some competency. And Biden, despite being super old and not all there, still has good instincts.

        I don't know about the competence part, going by the Ukraine war I thought Blinken and I guess that includes Nuland are definitely the opposite of competence. I guess one of the key points is competence requires not actualy believing your own propaganda and they certainly believed all the BS about Russia, sanctions, gas station, primitive incompetent army etc.

          I mean the US has accomplished their primary goals for the Ukraine war. Western Europe has been successfully vassalised and the concept of a Berlin/Paris/Brussels - Moscow alliance is dead in the water, as well as Europe's energy sovereignty, which depended on deals with Moscow. All the weapons that Europe gave to Ukraine and got blown up will need to be replaced by US made weapons systems, the US MIC will get their profits. They don't care about Ukraine or it's people. The US has already won the Ukraine war as far as they are concerned.

            the arms companies sure have gotten what they wanted, but they tend to get what they want every single time anyway. if it wasn't the Ukraine War it would have been something else. medium and long term impacts of the war will prove it to be the real beginning of the fall of the empire

        This is a very good way of looking at it that I haven't considered. It explains the apparent contradiction where Biden is obviously senile and falling apart but the Biden administration is still making moves.
