I don't really hunt or farm(don't live where that's an option) but I have butchered and ate a grouse that flew into my window and died one time. Free food is free food.

yeah it gets a little loose around the edges. some people will dumpster-dive animal products although if you stop eating meats long enough you lose some ability to digest it properly so "if you don't eat this i'm throwing it away" isn't getting one over on anybody. similarly some people are cool with heirloom animal products others think wearing grandpa's wool coat promotes the modern wool industry or normalizes whatever.

i think the term is "freegan" for the ones who'll partake as long as they aren't participating in the economy? i'm sure there's a dozen sub-tendencies like every other left ideology.

car hunting? there is no car hunting, it's extremely difficult & dangerous to go out of your way on a road in an attempt to hit an animal.

like i'll believe there are a few idiots that try to do this (surely while drinking) but it's still more or less random whether a deer will ever get in the road at the appropriate time/angle. and it's super dangerous
