Saw some pretty outrageous comments in the mega thread where some users were saying it’s completely cool that Russian nationalist mercs are allowed to execute people with sledgehammers? Obviously they’re doing it against fascists in Ukraine and Syria for now, but it seems pretty obvious that these clearly well adjusted young men are most likely not going to stop being well adjusted young men after their service is up. I think it’s important to remember the CRITICAL portion of critical support. Not everything these mercs do should be praised just because they’re doing it against fascists, they could easily be doing it against queer people next week if Russia wanted them to.
