in the 1985 anime zeta gundam, a shitty fascist cop (named jerid, pictured above) says to blue haired boy (who is very insistent his pronouns are he/him) kamille "kamille? isn't that a girls name?" to which kamille punches him in the face and yells "kamille's a man's name! and i'm a man!" in a manner not usually seen in cisgender people. he also gets called a lesbian whenever he hangs out with his girlfriend by school bullies, because tomino has a weird habit of writing characters who could not possibly be reasonably interpreted as cis. anyway, after punching a cop he gets arrested and ends up getting out and stealing a gundam and joining an antifascist terrorist group led by quattro vagina
the autistic part is also in the show, he literally says "i'm an autistic child" at one point
old gundam rules. start with 0079 if you're interested, zeta won't make much sense without it. be warned there's a lot of pretty gross gender essentialism and misogyny in zeta and victory especially, but they're all good if you can get past that. turn a is the best one and doesn't have any real gross stuff in it, and also has a transgender main character

This sounds amazing. I didn't realize old Gundam was so amazingly based
