In addition to the old classics, there's some pretty new and terrible strands of brainworms.

Few movements self-identify as “Socialist”, at best it’s a taxonomical label. Attempting to talk about the finer points of socialism is akin to debating the pros/cons of “Animals” – it’s an overly broad topic and doomed to spiral into bike-shedding over semantics as soon as the conversation starts to look interesting.

Just confidently demonstrating their own lack of knowledge in the dumbest possible way. If anything the opposite is true, so many different movements have self-identified as socialist that it can sometimes be hard to see what they have in common.

"I have no idea what socialism is. Given that I am the protagonist of reality, therefore, nobody must have any idea what socialism is."

Liberals have such goofy nuance brain. Their primary instinct is to make everything as muddled and abstract as possible to paralyze any thought. This guy is arguing socialism is so vague it might as well not even exist, it's just a linguistic quirk.

I have to guess liberals with this level of solipsism have never met nor interacted with socialists in their daily lives. Leftism is just something they've kind of heard about, never anything they've had to confront except maybe confused people online.
