The "Words of Iron" app gives zionists one centralized hub to promote posts that support Israel by increasing their engagement (including by pasting pre-written comments) while directing users to anti-zionist posts to report in an effort to get the post or the poster removed from the internet. It's a zionist brigading app.

Oh my bad, I didn't realize you were the sole arbiter of acceptable forms of content as a leftist! Just so we're clear:

    halal chud youtube videos

haram full-time communist streamers who solicit donos on stream

    Is that right?

I think thats a massive misrepresentation of what happened. I'm allowed to have my opinion on something that is anti-social and something distantly related to a MLM. I think trying to box me into being the sole arbitor of leftism is an attempt to silence me.

I'm not debating you on why what you did was bad. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and was hoping you'd do some self-reflection, but now you are doubling-down, so yes, I do hope you get silenced gulag

Its when you accuse posters of being alt accounts of other posters, because you cant believe more than one person could disagree with your shitty take.

No because its a new account, no posts and its highly invested with disagreeing with/smear me with no substance.

My take is fine, parasocial relationships are a thing and twitch streamers abusing that dynamic to take money from people is also a thing. It's a reasonable take to believe that twitch streaming is a bad thing because of the profit motive underlying all of it.

Playing games/socializing with your friends is a community thing and using that means to make money is like starting a punk band to sell out. It's gross.

I've been here for 3 years, since the migration from the subreddit. Yes, this is a new account; I created it because my og account was an edgy reference to the 2020 US primary that I felt didn't age as well as the thing it was referencing became more and more dated. I said as much and linked said account when registering this new account, the mods approved the registration of this account, so shrug-outta-hecks I no longer use that account, and certainly not to pull a Unidan or w/e.

Yes, I am highly invested because I immediately recognized you posting the same ragebait videos that incels spam at her on the hellsite that is Twitter, and it really fucking stung to see that same thing happen here from a supposed leftist.

I am begging you to do some introspection on why you are the one doing harm here and owe an apology. I don't even necessarily disagree that streaming can absolutely be parasocial and alienating! But, I promise you that the mods aren't deleting your comments out of some defense of the merits of streaming: it's because your comments were personally offensive to a fellow community member, including posting a harmful video that you have yet to apologize for. Ironically, you are exhibiting the very kind of anti-social behavior you are claiming streaming facilitates! stalin-stressed

I have apologized for it, and the originally unedited comment was all the content besides the video. Clearly the intent was to discuss twitch streaming. Please move past it.

I'm not doing harm, I'm being instigated to do harm and I'm not falling for it. Twitch streaming and all the power dynamic issues that come with it is wrong.

Yeah, there's a lot of things fucked with alienation under capital. KC hasn't directly plugged anything or tried to monitize Hex, and isn't getting any preferential treatment if that happens.

Until then you're just being weird to one user and doubling down on it when called out. Your problems with parasociality are shit excuse for being antisocial, jacketing people included.

I disagree and feel like big time streamers using their handle and mentioning their content is the same as rolling out a red carpet. Clearly coming fresh to a community doing the latter is tasteless and will be frowned upon by the community. The only reason i know that Kira twitch streams is because they mentioned it in this thread.

I have long held and maintained that i did not approve of twitch, its not personal to the user. I'm surprised that it's held favorably amongst many of you.

Please dont call me weird or other me, please engage with what I'm saying.

holy shit, logout until you've cooled off. posting through it is a shit idea.

Im heated because what im saying isnt being responded to and im being called weird and now told to logout? Can you sympathize with that? I'll stop posting though, I'm wasting time at work so I'm in an easy spot to fixate. I apologize to anyone if I offended them.

Same, I'm very far out of the loop for zoomer e-celebs and twitch/discord is somehow worse cytube/AIM.

Users are allowed to talk about themselves and what they do. We've had a lot of user-created content on hex before, and glancing thru KC"s posts, seems perfectly capable of on-topic posting without plugging anything or giving MLM grift vibes. Usually the focus on opsec here keeps things more abstract, but im seeing a poster first and plugs second.

                      If that changes i'll ban

Fair but is there any room for the discussion to be no plugs and no handle?

Like hypothetically if hbomberguy makes an account and starts posting here with the same handle that would make me uncomfortable under the same reasoning I've explained before. The dynamics become unequal considering one person is a YTer with 11 millions subs and die hard fans and I'm just regular mokey.

That applies double for Hasan, except its @regularassbitch@hexbear.net now.

We already both accept community content & ban shill-bots. It's always been a matter of degree & taste, and KC is fine. She doesn't have a multi-million subscriber count to hug the site to death with, isnt pumping anything beyond mentioning her stream's existance when relevent/asked, and posts in a variety of unrelated topics just like every other poster here.

If you wanna talk about parasocialization, alienation, the enshittification of the web, ect, theres lots of ways to have that conversation (especially here!) without centering it on fellow user.
