I disagree and feel like big time streamers using their handle and mentioning their content is the same as rolling out a red carpet. Clearly coming fresh to a community doing the latter is tasteless and will be frowned upon by the community. The only reason i know that Kira twitch streams is because they mentioned it in this thread.
I have long held and maintained that i did not approve of twitch, its not personal to the user. I'm surprised that it's held favorably amongst many of you.

We've had a lot of user-created content on hex before, and glancing thru KC"s posts, seems perfectly capable of on-topic posting without plugging anything or giving MLM grift vibes. Usually the focus on opsec here keeps things more abstract, but im seeing a poster first and plugs second.

She doesn't have a multi-million subscriber count to hug the site to death with, isnt pumping anything beyond mentioning her stream's existance when relevent/asked, and posts in a variety of unrelated topics just like every other poster here.
If you wanna talk about parasocialization, alienation, the enshittification of the web, ect, theres lots of ways to have that conversation (especially here!) without centering it on fellow user.
