It's not a great film or anything, but it does show the CIA in a very bad light (the FBI are sort of bumbling good guys in comparison). It also made me wonder how much scientific and technological innovation has been purposefully stifled under Capitalism. It's also one of the few films I can think of were Morgan Freeman plays a clearly villainous character.
It must have been made due to the popularity of the X-Files and conspiracy theory counter culture in the 90s is my guess.
Yeah remember watching this back in them days on the tv like during peak matrix season. I remember it being about fusion energy and the motorcycle rush escape scene... some images of him meeting with the lady maybe. I watched movies last year that i remember less about!
