      I mean yeah. I can't prove it but I've always thought the fixation on pitbulls being super-dangerous murder machines had more to do with the perceieved connection of pittbulls to black people, at least in the us. People will argue up and down about it.

      It depends. There's a lot of hate for them in my country because they're vicious street dogs and have been known to kill old people and children. An indigenous group recently hunted one down after it mauled a child in their community.

      Hate from more developed countries tend to come from people who see clips go viral online and immediately make blanket statements.

      It pretty much became a dogwhistle for racists to fixate on how pitbulls are inherently more violent than other dogs.

      It probably has something to do with the fact that it sounds a lot like a more "socially acceptable" type of race science. Stonetoss also has a racist comic where he compares dog breeds to human beings.
