This is anecdotal, but none of the Trump types in my life care at all about Israel or Palestine. Most had never heard of them. The conservative vibe I get is they don't want any interaction with other countries, including cooperation with Israel. They want the US completely closed off, like Japan or Paraguay used to be.
Most telling of all, I'm in a bunch of reactionary Facebook groups to keep up with them. Like the types with middle aged suburban dads. Hardly any of them talk about Hamas. Their current thing is fearmongering about immigrants from the southern border again. It's in half of their memes or angry grandma posts.
Same experience as me. The younger ones that I've spoken to are more frustrated with their tax dollars going to Israel. The Neoliberal Dems are the ones getting rock-hard from the Israel-Palestine war.
But Trump saying something like this still wins them over because he mentions the word "deported" and that's all they need to hear to like it.
Edit: Tbf right-wingers and Trump types I know are more aware of Israel and Palestine than the average is because they live in an area with a large Jewish population.
yeah I was going to say this might be very geographic. Southern conservatives don't care about Israel unless they're a specific type of evangelical, but they care more about Israel as a spiritual concept rather than a country. Most of them have never interacted with a Jewish person or a Muslim. All they see are a big block of people who aren't Americans. Everyone outside of America is the same to them, foreigners to be avoided and never thought about.
Republican voters are something like 70-80% in support of Israel's actions and our support of Israel. It's much lower among Democrats, like 40%. Republicans are actually all pro-Israel freaks, it's just completely unanimous so they don't bicker about it like Democrats do. It seems like Neoliberals are more pro-Israel because they're the ones bickering with the left half of their party most openly, they are the left-punching disciplining arm and they are fulfilling their role.
Wonder if we can do a Trump is a disloyal Israel first not America first bit. The fear of his base seeing him as disloyal and cucked to another state might be enough to make the whole Israel topic toxic to the point he backs off....maybe.

This crowd are probably more dangerous to the US' continued global dominance than we are lmao.
Isolationism has historically had more success in the United States than the Communists have in regard to affecting U.S policy
Isolationist accelerationism is the one true path.

A completely isolated and closed-off America is a vast improvement over the current America

One of the only real splits among American conservatives is how they feel about Israel and Jews, so this could maybe work
