my boss said he doesn't personally post here but some others might. and my boss thinks it's cool that I'm a leftist, he's one too, apparently, and that a bunch of our coworkers are leftists. some of them might post here?? it's a finance firm -- the last place I'd expect this. how the fuck do they have a positive opinion of this place??

YOU HAVE TO TELL ME IF YOU POST HERE AND WHAT YOUR @ IS. THIS IS SO UNFAIR LEAVING ME ON THE HOOK LIKE THIS. DON'T MAKE ME POST PPB TO THE WORK SLACK AND SEE WHO LAUGHS.

(I use tree style tabs so they can read my tabs when I share my screen -- I didn't hide this place because who the fuck has heard of hexbear)

Damn, that's really cool, I'm actually in a similar situation. Found out some months back that my landlord uses Hexbear when I saw him pull up the site on his phone while I was requesting that he fix the broken heater and leaky roof in my apartment. I brought it up and instantly he seemed just as happy as I was to have randomly come across a Hexbear comrade in the wild. What are the odds, right? Anyway, turns out he's an ML! Now we hang out, watch Star Trek, and shoot the shit about theory over weed and beer on the weekends.

A couple weeks ago I was talking to my landlord about how hard it is to find leftist friends, and he got the idea to introduce me to a buddy of his, the one who actually introduced him to Hexbear in the first place. Turns out he's the police officer who usually handles the evictions here. I'd seen him around, but I had no idea he was actually cool. Dude's an anarchist and heavily involved with his union, really based. We invited him to get baked and hang out with us and we really hit it off. It's nice having an anarchist perspective for our theory talk, really fitting given we all use the same left unity website. Not gonna lie, it does get heated at times, and I'm still a bit apprehensive about him showing up to these hangouts in uniform with his service weapon, but I think that's just me being antsy.

Hope you can get something similar going with your boss. Hexbear is great and all, but there's no substitute to having good comrades to hang out with offline.

Strange. It's as if people don't believe a cop could be a socialist revolutionary.

Going wild think king about a landlord who does so many evictions that they have an officer with an assignment to that landlord specifically

You've been hanging out with your Marxist landlord and their anarchist cop friend? Where am I? What timeline is this?

My property manager is an actual Maoist or at least a real comrade and was in a Maoist org in college and he literally saved me from getting evicted by his ex wife so stranger things and whatnot.

I don't know what is real anymore

I almost thought you were serious until you got to the anarchist cop. I genuinely just assumed your landlord had no self awareness
