Is covid-liberalism a bannable offense in c/covid?
I'm getting really fucking weary of seeing sentiments like, "being upset about someone scheduling a non-emergency dental appointment in the middle of the second largest covid wave is deranged" or "you're a selfish asshole for expecting your loved ones to do the bare fucking minimum to protect you" in discussions on masking or vaccine uptake
I know I'm not the only one disappointed in the growing anomie. Maybe we should operate more like c/vegan where everything from omnivore apologia to overt antiveganism (analogous to the above anti-precaution/anti-max/anti-vax-apologia) is forbidden, and posting/commenting as much gets you a ban?
im going to hyperfixate on this example specifically because i otherwise agree completely with this post
problem is that dental problems snowball. you don't get proper dental treatment, it gets worse. so then you need a more expensive and invasive surgery or operation later on
so unless it's literally a routine checkup, i would argue there isn't really such a thing as a "non-essential" dental appointment. this literally only matters to me because my teeth hurt and i don't want them to continue to hurt more
edit: the fact that covid-safe dentists exists means that i am both exonerated and you are more correct. get your teeth cleaned by a non plague rat dentist hexbearites
edit 2: my point is basically that i care about dental hygiene and covid safety and i dont want to trade those off from each other
They separate vision and dental care from standard healthcare to make you think they’re luxury procedures
Maintenance of optional bones and organs
Whats a good wayntonfind said covid-safe dentists. I have a moderate issue I don't want to become a major issue
I asked on in my local city's subreddit to get a list of covid-safe dentists. I got downvoted and trolled to hell but I also got a list of dentists who require everyone in the clinic -- patients and staff -- wear masks. I also got a list of ones who had relaxed requirements so I could avoid them. Now I'll admit I've had a lot going on and I haven't called any of them to arrange an appointment yet since I just wanted to plan a regular checkup and cleaning, but it's a start.
I might also suggest /r/ZeroCovidCommunity, which is pretty leftist for . I know that site is shit in general but these were niche helpful uses of it.

Good resource but fairly sparse. Best bet is to call local offices and ask.
