Same, in the Midwest even when they frothe and seethe and make threats or yell slurs its weak childish shit vs the worst I've seen in CA. Also never had an potential employer call me back just to go on an unhinged transphobic rant to my face instead of just tell me I was rejected over phone, or instead of interview they tell me "we don't hire people like you here", they just ghost, and I find out through the rumor mill the reason.
